A vulnerability was found in MyPrestaModules Cross Selling in Modal Cart Module up to 3.4.x on PrestaShop (PrestaShop Module) and classified as critical. This issue affects the function motivationsaleDataModel::getProductsByIds. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. In the module "Cross Selling in Modal Cart" (motivationsale) < 3.5.0 from MyPrestaModules for PrestaShop, a guest can perform SQL injection. The method `motivationsaleDataModel::getProductsByIds()` has sensitive SQL calls that can be executed with a trivial http call and exploited to forge a SQL injection.
The weakness was released 11/22/2023. It is possible to read the advisory at addons.prestashop.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2023-46357 since 10/23/2023. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
Upgrading to version 3.5.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
