The bug was discovered 08/18/2006. The weakness was disclosed 08/22/2006 by Anthony Bettini (Agent) with McAfee (Website). The advisory is shared at securityresponse.symantec.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-4314 since 08/23/2006. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
