A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in RadScripts RadBids 2. This issue affects an unknown code of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument read with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in index.php for RadScripts RadBids Gold 2 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via the read parameter.

The weakness was presented 04/09/2005 by Diabolic Crab (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-1073 since 04/12/2005.
