A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in eGroupware 1.0/1.0.1/1.0.3/1.0.6 (Groupware Software). This issue affects an unknown part of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument cats_app with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in index.php in eGroupware before 1.0.0.007 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) filter or (2) cats_app parameter.
The weakness was presented 04/15/2005 by James Bercegay with Gulftech (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at gulftech.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-1203 since 04/21/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

By approaching the search of inurl:index.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. Upgrading to version 1.0.0.007 eliminates this vulnerability.
