The weakness was released 05/05/2005 by Ilja van Sprundel (ryan) (Website). The advisory is shared for download at ethereal.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-1464 since 05/05/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1499.
