A vulnerability was found in Mall23 (version now known). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file infopage.asp. The manipulation of the argument idPage with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in infopage.asp in Mall23 eCommerce allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the idPage parameter.
The weakness was released 09/22/2005 by David Sopas Ferreira (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securitytracker.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-3039 since 09/22/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
