A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in PHPKIT 1.6.1 (Content Management System). This issue affects an unknown code block of the file login/profile.php. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in PHPKIT 1.6.1 R2 and earlier allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via multiple vectors in (1) login/profile.php, (2) login/userinfo.php, (3) admin/admin.php, (4) imcenter.php, and the (5) referer statistics, the (6) HTML title element and (7) logo alt attributes in forum postings, and the (8) Homepage field in the Guestbook.
The bug was discovered 09/30/2005. The weakness was published 11/07/2005 by Christopher Kunz (Website). The advisory is shared at hardened-php.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-3552 since 11/16/2005. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
