A vulnerability was found in Revize CMS (Content Management System) (affected version not known). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file setwebspace.jsp. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in HTTPTranslatorServlet in Idetix Software Systems Revize CMS allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) resourcetype, (2) objectmap, and (3) redirect parameters, possibly involving setWebSpace.jsp.
The bug was discovered 11/02/2005. The weakness was presented 11/16/2005 by Lostmon Lords (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-3730 since 11/21/2005. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
