A vulnerability was found in vTiger CRM 4.2 (Customer Relationship Management System) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component Login Form. The manipulation of the argument record with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in vTiger CRM 4.2 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) username in the login form or (2) record parameter, as demonstrated in the EditView action for the Contacts module.

The bug was discovered 09/16/2005. The weakness was published 11/25/2005 by Daniel Fabian with SEC-CONSULT (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at vupen.com.
