A vulnerability has been found in Interactive Intelligence Interaction SIP Proxy up to 3.0.10 (Firewall Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function sipparser in the library i3sipmsg.dll. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a heap-based overflow vulnerability. Heap-based buffer overflow in the SIPParser function in i3sipmsg.dll in Interaction SIP Proxy before 3.0.011 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code via a REGISTER request with a SPI version number that contains a large number of space or tab characters.

The weakness was released 12/21/2005 by Behrang Fouladi with Hat-Squad (Website). The advisory is available at secunia.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-4466 since 12/21/2005.
