A vulnerability was found in Epic Designs eggblog 2.0. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file search.php. The manipulation of the argument q with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. search.php in eggblog 2.0 allows remote attackers to obtain the full path via an invalid q parameter, as used by the Keyword and Search fields, possibly due to an SQL injection vulnerability.
The weakness was disclosed 12/22/2005 by r0t (Website). The advisory is available at vupen.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-4546 since 12/28/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:search.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
