A vulnerability was found in Epic Designs eggblog 2.0. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown functionality of the file topic.php. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in eggblog 2.0 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the message field to topic.php.
The weakness was presented 01/17/2006 by Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu (Alex) (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-0350 since 01/21/2006. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
