Affected is some unknown functionality of the file tiny_mce_gzip.php. The manipulation of the argument index with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in tiny_mce_gzip.php in TinyMCE Compressor PHP before 1.06 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the index parameter.
The bug was discovered 12/27/2005. The weakness was presented 12/29/2005 by Stefan Esser with hardened-php.net (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-4599 since 01/01/2006. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
