A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Moxiecode TinyMCE Compressor PHP up to 1.5 (Programming Language Software). Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the file tiny_mce_gzip.php. The manipulation of the argument lang with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Directory traversal vulnerability in tiny_mce_gzip.php in TinyMCE Compressor PHP before 1.06 allows remote attackers to read or include arbitrary files via a trailing null byte (%00) in the (1) theme, (2) language, (3) plugins, or (4) lang parameter.
The bug was discovered 12/27/2005. The weakness was shared 12/29/2005 by Stefan Esser with hardened-php.net (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-4600 since 01/01/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1006 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

Upgrading to version 1.06 eliminates this vulnerability.
