BEA Weblogic Server 8.1 through 8.1 SP4 does not properly validate client certificates when reusing cached connections, which allows remote attackers to obtain access via an untrusted X.509 certificate.
The weakness was shared 01/17/2007 with BEA (Website). The advisory is shared for download at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2007-0408 since 01/22/2007. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
