BEA Weblogic Server 8.1 through 8.1 SP4 does not properly validate client certificates when reusing cached connections, which allows remote attackers to obtain access via an untrusted X.509 certificate.
The weakness was presented 01/17/2007 with BEA (Website). The advisory is available at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-0408 since 01/22/2007. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
