BEA Weblogic Server 8.1 through 8.1 SP4 does not properly validate client certificates when reusing cached connections, which allows remote attackers to obtain access via an untrusted X.509 certificate.

The weakness was disclosed 01/17/2007 with BEA (Website). The advisory is shared at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-0408 since 01/22/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
