BEA Weblogic Server 8.1 through 8.1 SP4 does not properly validate client certificates when reusing cached connections, which allows remote attackers to obtain access via an untrusted X.509 certificate.
The weakness was shared 01/17/2007 with BEA (Website). The advisory is shared at dev2dev.bea.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-0408 since 01/22/2007. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1592 for this issue.
