Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code block of the file func.inc.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in func.inc.php in ZoneO-Soft freeForum before 1.2.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) name and (2) subject parameters.
The weakness was disclosed 03/02/2006 by Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu (Website). The advisory is shared at secunia.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-0958 since 03/02/2006. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:func.inc.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
Upgrading to version 1.2.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
