A vulnerability was found in Trend Micro OfficeScan 5.5 (Anti-Malware Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code of the file tmlisten.exe. Trend Micro OfficeScan 5.5, and probably other versions before 6.5, uses insecure DACLs for critical files, which allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges by modifying tmlisten.exe.

The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
