A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Trend Micro OfficeScan 7.0/7.3 (Anti-Malware Software). Multiple buffer overflows in the Trend Micro OfficeScan Web-Deployment SetupINICtrl ActiveX control in OfficeScanSetupINI.dll, as used in OfficeScan 7.0 before Build 1344, OfficeScan 7.3 before Build 1241, and Client / Server / Messaging Security 3.0 before Build 1197, allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTML document.
The bug was discovered 02/12/2007. The weakness was published 02/16/2007 by Will Dormann with Trend Micro (Website). The advisory is shared at trendmicro.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-0325 since 01/17/2007. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
