A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Tritanium Bulletin Board 1.2.3 (Forum Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file register.php. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in register.php in Tritanium Bulletin Board (TBB) 1.2.3 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) newuser_realname and (2) newuser_icq parameters, a different vector than CVE-2006-1768. NOTE: the provenance of this information is unknown; the details are obtained solely from third party information.
The weakness was disclosed 04/11/2006 by d4igoro (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-1815 since 04/17/2006. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details and also a exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
After before and not just, there has been an exploit disclosed. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:register.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
