A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in QuickEStore 7.9. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file shipping.cfm. The manipulation of the argument ProdID with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in QuickEStore 7.9 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via (1) the OrderID parameter in (a) shipping.cfm and (b) checkout.cfm, (2) ItemID parameter in (c) proddetail.cfm, (3) SubCatID parameter in (d) index.cfm, the (4) CategoryID parameter in (e) prodpage.cfm, and (5) ProdID parameter in (f) Details.cfm. NOTE: these issues can also be exploited for path disclosure.
The weakness was disclosed 04/25/2006 by r0t (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at vupen.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-2053 since 04/26/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:shipping.cfm it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
