A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Bitdamaged geoBlog Mod 1.0. Affected by this issue is an unknown function of the file viewcat.php. The manipulation of the argument cat with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in viewcat.php in geoBlog 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the cat parameter.
