A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.14.1. Affected by this issue is the function imx_card_probe. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-476. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: imx-card: Add NULL check in imx_card_probe() devm_kasprintf() returns NULL when memory allocation fails. Currently, imx_card_probe() does not check for this case, which results in a NULL pointer dereference. Add NULL check after devm_kasprintf() to prevent this issue.

The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
