Integer overflow in the exif_data_load_data_entry function in exif-data.c in libexif before 0.6.14 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via crafted EXIF data, involving the (1) doff or (2) s variable.

The bug was discovered 05/10/2007. The weakness was disclosed 05/11/2007 by Victor Stinner with INL (Website). The advisory is shared at sourceforge.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-2645 since 05/14/2007. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
