A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.15-rc5. Affected by this issue is the function st_lsm6dsx of the component iio. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: fix possible lockup in st_lsm6dsx_read_fifo Prevent st_lsm6dsx_read_fifo from falling in an infinite loop in case pattern_len is equal to zero and the device FIFO is not empty.

The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
