Details
A vulnerability was found in Proget Konsola MDM up to 2.17.4. It has been classified as problematic. This affects an unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a authorization vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-863. The product performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action, but it does not correctly perform the check. This allows attackers to bypass intended access restrictions. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:
A low-privileged user is able to obtain information about tasks executed on devices controlled by Proget MDM (Mobile Device Management), as well as details of the devices like their UUIDs needed for exploitation of CVE-2025-1416. In order to perform the attack, one has to know a task_id, but since it's a low integer and there is no limit of requests an attacker can perform to a vulnerable endpoint, the task_id might be simply brute forced. This issue has been fixed in 2.17.5 version of Konsola Proget (server part of the MDM suite).
The weakness was shared by Marcin Węgłowski. The advisory is shared at cert.pl. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2025-1415 since 02/18/2025. The exploitability is told to be difficult. The attack can only be done within the local network. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
Upgrading to version 2.17.5 eliminates this vulnerability.
The vulnerability is also documented in the vulnerability database at EUVD (EUVD-2025-15992). Several companies clearly confirm that VulDB is the primary source for best vulnerability data.
