A vulnerability was found in extcalendar 2.0 (Calendar Software). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown function of the file extcalendar.php. The manipulation of the argument mosConfig_absolute_path with an unknown input leads to a code injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-94. PHP remote file inclusion vulnerability in extcalendar.php in Mohamed Moujami ExtCalendar 2.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the mosConfig_absolute_path parameter.
The weakness was presented 07/12/2006 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-3556 since 07/12/2006. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
