A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Media Player up to 10.x (Multimedia Player Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown code block of the component Skin Header Parser. The bug was discovered 08/14/2007. The weakness was released 08/14/2007 by Piotr Bania (TippingPoint) with TippingPoint and the Zero Day Initiative as MS07-047 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2007-3035 since 06/05/2007. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available.
