A vulnerability has been found in SuiteCRM up to 7.12.5 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function export. The manipulation of the argument uid with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SuiteCRM versions prior to 7.12.6 contain a SQL injection vulnerability within the processing of the ‘uid’ parameter within the ‘export’ functionality. Successful exploitation allows remote unauthenticated attackers to ultimately execute arbitrary code.
The weakness was released by Exodus Intelligence. It is possible to read the advisory at docs.suitecrm.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2022-50589 since 11/05/2025. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
