Details
A vulnerability was found in Circutor SGE-PLC1000 and SGE-PLC50 9.0.2 and classified as critical. This issue affects the function ShowDownload. The manipulation of the argument meter with an unknown input leads to a stack-based overflow vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-121. A stack-based buffer overflow condition is a condition where the buffer being overwritten is allocated on the stack (i.e., is a local variable or, rarely, a parameter to a function). Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Circutor SGE-PLC1000/SGE-PLC50 v9.0.2. The 'ShowDownload()' function uses “sprintf()” to format a string that includes the user-controlled input of 'GetParameter(meter)' in the fixed-size buffer 'acStack_4c' (64 bytes) without checking the length. An attacker can provide an excessively long value for the 'meter' parameter that exceeds the 64-byte buffer size.
The weakness was shared by Gabriel Gonzalez and Sergio Ruiz. The advisory is shared at incibe.es. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2025-11782 since 10/15/2025. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack can only be initiated within the local network. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability.
