A vulnerability was found in Dotnetindex Active News Manager (affected version unknown). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file activenews_categories.asp. The manipulation of the argument query with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in ActiveNews Manager allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) catID parameter to activeNews_categories.asp, the (2) articleID parameter to activeNews_comments.asp, or the (3) query parameter to activenews_search.asp.
The weakness was presented 11/14/2006 by laurent gaffie (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-6094 since 11/24/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
