CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.4.0 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function ktime_t of the component HID. The impact remains unknown. CVE summarizes:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: wacom: Use ktime_t rather than int when dealing with timestamps Code which interacts with timestamps needs to use the ktime_t type returned by functions like ktime_get. The int type does not offer enough space to store these values, and attempting to use it is a recipe for problems. In this particular case, overflows would occur when calculating/storing timestamps leading to incorrect values being reported to userspace. In some cases these bad timestamps cause input handling in userspace to appear hung.

The advisory is shared for download at git.kernel.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2023-53797 since 12/09/2025. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 03/29/2026).

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 278357 (Linux Distros Unpatched Vulnerability : CVE-2023-53797), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
