A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Mozilla Firefox up to 2.0.8 (Web Browser). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality. Mozilla Firefox before 2.0.0.8 and SeaMonkey before 1.1.5 do not properly implement JavaScript onUnload handlers, which allows remote attackers to run certain JavaScript code and access the location DOM hierarchy in the context of the next web site that is visited by a client.
The weakness was shared 10/19/2007 by L. David Baron, Boris Zbarsky, Georgi Guninski and Pa as MFSA2007-29 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-1095 since 02/26/2007. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
