A vulnerability was found in Foo Labs Xpdf 3.0.1 Pl1 (Document Reader Software). It has been declared as critical. Array index error in the DCTStream::readProgressiveDataUnit method in xpdf/Stream.cc in Xpdf 3.02pl1, as used in poppler, teTeX, KDE, KOffice, CUPS, and other products, allows remote attackers to trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code via a crafted PDF file.

The weakness was published 11/07/2007 by Alin Rad Pop with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is shared at secunia.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-4352 since 08/14/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
