A vulnerability was found in BEA WebLogic Server up to 8.1 (Application Server Software). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing. BEA WebLogic Server 8.1 through 8.1 SP5, 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2 Gold, when WS-Security is used, does not properly validate certificates, which allows remote attackers to conduct a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack.
The bug was discovered 01/16/2007. The weakness was presented 01/17/2007 (Website). The advisory is available at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-0411 since 01/22/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
