Details
A vulnerability was found in Mobility46 (the affected version is unknown). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component WebSocket Application Programming Interface. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a excessive authentication vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-307. The product does not implement sufficient measures to prevent multiple failed authentication attempts within a short time frame, making it more susceptible to brute force attacks. As an impact it is known to affect availability. CVE summarizes:
The WebSocket Application Programming Interface lacks restrictions on the number of authentication requests. This absence of rate limiting may allow an attacker to conduct denial-of-service attacks by suppressing or mis-routing legitimate charger telemetry, or conduct brute-force attacks to gain unauthorized access.
The weakness was published by Khaled Sarieddine and Mohammad Ali Sayed. The advisory is shared for download at mobility46.se. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-26305 since 02/24/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1110.001.
