Details
A vulnerability was found in CloudCharge (unknown version). It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component WebSocket Application Programming Interface. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a excessive authentication vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-307. The product does not implement sufficient measures to prevent multiple failed authentication attempts within a short time frame, making it more susceptible to brute force attacks. Impacted is availability. The summary by CVE is:
The WebSocket Application Programming Interface lacks restrictions on the number of authentication requests. This absence of rate limiting may allow an attacker to conduct denial-of-service attacks by suppressing or mis-routing legitimate charger telemetry, or conduct brute-force attacks to gain unauthorized access.
The weakness was released by Khaled Sarieddine and Mohammad Ali Sayed. The advisory is shared at cloudcharge.tech. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-25114 since 02/24/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1110.001 for this issue.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
