A vulnerability was found in Mambo CMS 4.6.x (Content Management System). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown functionality of the file moscomment.php. The manipulation of the argument mcname with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in Mambo 4.6.x allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the mcname parameter to (1) moscomment.php and (2) com_comment.php.
The weakness was published 03/07/2007 by trueend5 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-7150 since 03/07/2007. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
