A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Ubuntu Linux up to Current (Operating System). This affects the function fontfileinittable of the component LibXfont. Integer overflow in the FontFileInitTable function in X.Org libXfont before 20070403 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a long first line in the fonts.dir file, which results in a heap overflow.
The bug was discovered 03/21/2019. The weakness was released 04/05/2007 by iDefense with iDEFENSE (Website). The advisory is shared at secunia.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2007-1352 since 03/08/2007. Access to the local network is required for this attack to succeed. Required for exploitation is a authentication.
