A vulnerability was found in WordPress up to 2.2 Revision5002 (Content Management System). It has been classified as problematic. This affects the function wp_title. The manipulation of the argument year with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in wp-includes/general-template.php in WordPress before 20070309 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the year parameter in the wp_title function.
