A vulnerability was found in WordPress 2.1/2.1.1/2.1.2 (Content Management System). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file xmlrpc.php. The manipulation of the argument post_id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in xmlrpc (xmlrpc.php) in WordPress 2.1.2, and probably earlier, allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL commands via a string parameter value in an XML RPC mt.setPostCategories method call, related to the post_id variable.
