The Administration Console for BEA Tuxedo 8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to determine the existence of files outside the web root via modified paths in the INIFILE argument.
The bug was discovered 10/29/2003. The weakness was disclosed 11/03/2003 with Corsaire Security Advisory (Website). The advisory is available at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2003-0621 since 07/31/2003. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
