Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in compose.php in SquirrelMail 1.4.0 through 1.4.9a allows remote attackers to send e-mails from arbitrary users via certain data in the SRC attribute of an IMG element.

The bug was discovered 05/09/2007. The weakness was disclosed 05/09/2007 by DiGiT with Secunia Research (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at secunia.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-2589 since 05/10/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
