The Administration Console in BEA WebLogic Express and WebLogic Server 9.0 and 9.1 does not properly enforce certain Domain Security Policies, which allows remote administrative users in the Deployer role to upload arbitrary files.
The bug was discovered 05/15/2007. The weakness was published 05/23/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securitytracker.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-2699 since 05/15/2007. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation requires a single authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
