A vulnerability was found in PHP 4.4.2/5.1.2 (Programming Language Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function array_fill. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory allocation vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-789. The product allocates memory based on an untrusted, large size value, but it does not ensure that the size is within expected limits, allowing arbitrary amounts of memory to be allocated. The array_fill function in ext/standard/array.c in PHP 4.4.2 and 5.1.2 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a large num value.
