This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file admin-ajax.php of the component Requests Handler. Wow Viral Signups 2.1 WordPress plugin contains an SQL injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to extract database information by exploiting the unescaped 'idsignup' POST parameter. Attackers can send crafted requests to the admin-ajax.php endpoint with malicious SQL payloads in the 'idsignup' parameter to read arbitrary data from the database.
The weakness was presented by Tad Group as 41921. The advisory is shared for download at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-20245 since 06/08/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
