Unspecified vulnerability in Apple QuickTime before 7.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted AAC-encoded file that triggers memory corruption.
The bug was discovered 06/10/2008. The weakness was released 06/10/2008 by Jens Alfke with NGS Software as HT1991 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2008-1582 since 03/31/2008. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
