A vulnerability was found in SkaDate Skadate Online Dating Software 6.482. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown code block of the file featured_list.php. The manipulation of the argument view_mode with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in SkaDate 5.0 and 6.0, and possibly later versions such as 6.482, allow remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the view_mode parameter to (1) featured_list.php and (2) online_list.php in member/.
